TMTD-TV My favorite music videos, rare movies, live chat and general tomfoolery. And every once in a while you might just catch me working on something live in the studio. On occasion we'll be live from different shows, parties, and other messes I've gotten myself into. PLEASE NO INTERVIEWS.. Not even on Sundays. Thanks.

An alternative to TMTD-TV, What you'll find here is really more random stuff that I come across wherever I am, captured by the trusty (albeit with terrible battery life) Nokia N95. Very Very Random.

    Exhibit A has to be top 5 real hip hop songs of 2008. When Jay said “Who’s gon’ to bring da game back who’s gon’ spit that Ramo on the train tracks dat gold rope five finger ring rap” I had to rewind that shit like 50 times, because he actually went back in history talking about the movie “Beat Street”. Once I heard that line the song was over. Nobody I repeat Nobody is spitting like that.

  28. sampled or interpolation by any chance?

  29. I dont got to tell you…

    U know already know u went dumb on this beat…

    this song is real….

  30. AirlineGeneral says;

  32. When I heard the first version (thinking it was the final) I was thinking damn…this shit is so mediocre. Should have known you wouldn’t come sloppy like that. The final is WAY better, shit bangs so hard. bananas son, bananas…

  33. shits ridiculous just.

  34. so this song just blew my mind

  35. I don’t care how long it takes, this music shit will get back on track. This is a step in the right direction sir.

  36. Phenomonal shit, can we get da dirty version!

    shits like watchin a rated R movie on BET……..

  38. after i listened to this a few times last night, it was the only keys i could play for like 3 hours.

    i wish this many people commented on bongo beat….that would be a mean movement…..bongo beat 08….

  40. lol… oh no not you too Bean….let the bongo beat die….

  41. What the hell is the bongo beat??

  42. notrandie says;
    08 Nov 2008 - 0:59

    this has been on repeat since yesterday. thank you

  43. This is beyond description. I want to bang my head on the table when I hear this.

  44. brun or brown says;
    08 Nov 2008 - 13:23

    This track is amazing, the instruments and arrangement are so perfect I’ve had to have it on repeat to fully appreciate the science. Jay Elec absolutely killed it but can we hear an instrumental?

  45. this is definitely a waaaaay better mix…
    but there’s just something raw about the way the ruff draft rolls…
    and the original candy man sound bite…

    either way, this joint get’s an A+.

  46. beantownbeaner11 says;
    09 Nov 2008 - 4:37

    when is just coming to beantown ? anyone know?

  47. SaigonTheDon says;

    the end part is def DMX playin piano in the dark

  49. SaigonTheDon says;
    10 Nov 2008 - 3:46

    one of a few ppl in the dark…dmx, the game, or steve gutenberg

  50. son this beat is dope, but it reminds me of a beat from Tribe… I just can’t remember what song

  51. “Lames get their plane shot down like John McCain” = throwing ether in the wound.

    Been looking forward to this since the snippet.

  52. Dope…. Cant hate on this.. I’ve been inspired again.

  53. i always thought jay e. sounded liike a combo of sean p and mf doom , and comin from new orleans , thats prertty unique

  54. MidnightMarauder says;
    17 Nov 2008 - 5:36

    Are these Guys Droppin’ A Mixtape together?! I sure hope so…dope combination.

  55. ^^ dope combination .. sean P and Doom actually have a recent song that they did together, produced by DJ Babu. Look for it, its pretty dope. But i dont think Jay Electro sounds like sean P though. I see more similarities with Doom.

  56. Just!

    I’m editor-in-chief of statemagazine.nl, an online hiphop magazine from Amsterdam. Check it out. I’m writing you because we’re looking for an interview with Jay Electronica.

    We’ve had exclusive interviews with everyone from Lil Wayne, Juelz Santana, The Cool Kids, Robin Thicke, ?uestlove, Just Blaze!! to Outkast, Ice Cube, 50 Cent, T-Pain to Joell Ortiz. Now we’ve been fiending for a convo with Jay for a while but you guys are difficult to get a hold of, wow.

    Please let me know what we can do, maybe a phoner? Also, we have a reporter in NY in December. Thanks in advance.

    Easy.

  57. what happened to the wonka clips?

    did you re-voice them but, in the words of my 2nd grade teacher, do them “in your own voice”?

  58. classic! but is this dude signed to you? if so please do everything to get his project to the people. i’m still a little tight about the Saigon project.
    still in all this is the best shit i have heard in years.

  59. lmao @ that cartoon..that’s classic..

  60. Is there a sample it this Just bleezy?

  61. West Coast love being shown. It is definitely one of my top three songs of 2008. Beat is nice and the lyrics are superb. Jay flows well with the beat.

    I must ask where the “dolphin how it swims…” quote comes from. It is racking my brain and can’t find it anywhere.
