TMTD-TV My favorite music videos, rare movies, live chat and general tomfoolery. And every once in a while you might just catch me working on something live in the studio. On occasion we'll be live from different shows, parties, and other messes I've gotten myself into. PLEASE NO INTERVIEWS.. Not even on Sundays. Thanks.

An alternative to TMTD-TV, What you'll find here is really more random stuff that I come across wherever I am, captured by the trusty (albeit with terrible battery life) Nokia N95. Very Very Random.

  • Paul: I would just like an explanation, I assume there was a good reason.
  • C. Baines: lol @ Gene. May he be buried in the best Rico Tizio extra medium t shirt and rich guy jeans.
  • TheSonningSensor: First day of school…I just premiered the LRG Limited Edition Transformers...
  • $port: …The denim with the wallet chain printed on >>>> Dior Homme…
  • Victory: RICCCCOOOOO TIIIIIZZZZZIIIIIIOOOOOOOOO. where can i cop it?

Like that of a scorned customer. Had to come off of hiatus for this.. More on Monday.

I can’t believe you Akai..

This weekend can’t come soon enough so I can get enough time to write what I’m feeling right now.

Akai really hasn’t been shit since the 2000XL. There’s dope features on the newer models, but I feel like the overall quality has gone down. Can’t wait to hear a legit review.

It looks hot on Youtube, but can it compete with the likes of the MV-8800. That thing is a beast plus you can record/mix your vocals right into it and create/edit and burn out your whole demo onto a disk. I think that’s when Roland just steamrolled Akai competitively. Until Akai makes something that can be at least slightly better. Roland is pwning Akai.

  18. yo Just that 90’s mixtape is sick man…..much props

I tried the 5000 & it’s a beast. However, I wouldn’t buy one. While it does offer recent storage technology like flash drives, I think it makes the sound TOO clean. I like some dirtiness in my music, I use a 3000. If you already have an MPC3000, 4000, 2000/2000XL, there’s no real reason to buy it, unless you somehow really want it.

If you do buy it, have fun. It’s powerful. The MV-8800 is powerful as well.

Man, that was a Tangent !!! but you know what? If they’re doing newer versions of best selling equipment, and then basing it off of the older version (which the company has moved forward from) instead of making something that is great, excellent, then they deserve more than disapproval. That’s just a bad look for them period. C’mon Akai!
