We have been quietly working to get released from Atlantic.
Sometimes you need to do things without talking about them. And get what you want.
We finally got that…
With 100% ownership of the masters.
(Most folks who claim they own their masters when they get released may have them (or copies of them) in their possesion, but they don’t own them, so they can mixtape stuff all day, but can’t go on and ever offically release them… we are free to take them wherever we like, however we like )
((Most folks that get a release granted don’t even get their masters period and whatever label they DO end up on will have to buy them from the previous label, plus all types of overrides and fees))
Thank you Atlantic for recognizing the situation for what it really was and doing the right thing.
There are already new situation(s) in the works.
More to come.
(I’m not going Strictly Business- style on this one right now. I have too much going on in Real Life County)
Oh yeah I didn’t forget my promise.
I’m just 4 or 5 weeks late on it.
Had to work out the release first.
Here you go.
Saigon f/ Red 5ive - "Believe it"
Oh and for the know-it-all that sent me that email about the Chinese Democracy..
Until you actually know what is going on behind closed doors and in my business..
Shut it.. zip it…. Stop talkin out your (_!_) dot com.
Got you some attention.. happy now?
I know this is short and not my usual style.. I will give a MUCH more deatiled accounting later.
Thank you all for reading (and listening)
God Bless.

That’s what the fuck I’m talking bout. I’m glad that he got outta that situation WITH FULL OWNERSHIP…I hope whatever “situation” he ends up in..that the people involved really respect what he’s tryin’ to bring and don’t try to stifle his sh*t….

Congrats JB. This better get spins.

21 May 2008 - 15:40
I will stop fronting. Saigon is a serious artist. I’m talking about dope rap art. However, the only think that irks me is his “best lyricist” self-proclaim. That’s just not true homie! In terms of wordplay/flow, Jigga, Eminem, Kanye, got you. However, I will say one thing, you got this honesty/realness emanating out of you, which is something more in line with 2Pac and Nas. Props. This is a dope single. Hope it blows up.
21 May 2008 - 15:51
congratulations! great track too..if i didnt know better, that red 5ive dude was u justin lol sounds so much like u on some t-pain shitt

21 May 2008 - 19:45
Justin posted the Instrumental???
Im bout to do the official remix. Just you got me on the Punch Ins?
21 May 2008 - 19:49
Ayo, this shit is so inspirational/motivational…Soul food for real. Being born & raised in NYC, I relate so much to this joint. Sai’s bringin real New York Hip-Hop back. yeah it’s a Just Blaze beat so it’s a no-brainer that it’s a banger…but Sai is dropin real talk. If the album is anything like this joint, I’m ridin…Let’s Go!!

21 May 2008 - 20:40
I did a search for Red 5ive, whom I’ve never heard from before, and found only links to this song. That plus the fact that he reminds me a great deal of JB (who loves Star Wars), makes me wonder if I’m just a complete moron, or if Mr. Smith is using a pseudonym…
21 May 2008 - 21:02
One thing is for sure, I’m on probably my third listen (not counting times you’ve played it previously, Just) and Saigon has officially got my co-sign. I’m copping this album no matter what.

HOV SHOULD SIGN SAI TO ROC NATION!!!!
THE YARDFATHER WOULD BE THE NEXT THING OUTTA NEW YORK!!!
as far as the ‘believe it’ track it’s pure crack!!!
the yardfather is just droppin that real talk!!
“Shit I ain’t made a dollar tryna rap for the cause.”
“I try to help the label see the vision, but they lower me to a subdivision, you gotta be fucking kiddin’!!”
come on man, how real is that!!!
The Yardfather is doin’ it for the future, and these record labels only care about ignorant niggas talkin about bustin they gun with no reason so they could get a quick buck..
Roc Nation would be the perfect spot for Saigon
THE GREATEST STORY NEVER TOLD!!!

22 May 2008 - 2:57
honestly i never liked the whole t-pain voice movement, but it just works for this song…then again im pretty biased when it comes to saigon and just blaze lol. anyway its good to see you guys are now in control of your own destiny, everything happens for a reason right. if i could suggest one thing its please consider putting the og version of “come on baby” on the album and cut the bonus tracks, based on what i have heard this album has the potential to be something real special, you dont need the bonus tracks and a jay feature to sell a classic album
22 May 2008 - 3:05

Wow! Just Blaze and Saigon. Keep doing what you’re doing!
Congrats on your Freedom. I got a big smile on my face for both of you hard working cats.

“Best album in 20 years”
In my opinion, that’s definitely an overstatment. Saying that means that you’re implying “The Greatest Story Never Told” will be better than Eric B & Rakim’s “Paid In Full” and Nas’s “Illmatic”.
Sai’s good but he ain’t that good. From what I’ve heard from him, he’s never developed anything on the same level as tracks like “Paid In Full” and “The World Is Yours”.
But I know for fact that TGSNT will indefinitely easily outdo all the purest essence of all pop hop/shit hop such as 50’s “Curtis” and Wayne’s “Carter III”.
Legendary REAL HIP HOP lyrics:
“It ain’t hard to tell, I excel, then prevail
the mic is contact, that I attract clientelle ”
- “It Ain’t Hard To Tell” - Nas
Top 5 Alive:
1. Rakim
2. Nas
3. Kool G Rap
4. Big Daddy Kane
5. KRS-One
Belive me. It’s a fact!

sai gitty ive been a fan for years first dude i can agree with and connect with im from new orleans ur mix tapes got me through bad times now im continuing the tridition with my mix tapes
12 Aug 2008 - 15:29
Here we are, August 2008, and while everyone else continues to drop material, Saigon still sits in limbo……while in that time…everyone else (even those who dont sell) continue to drop material annually. I’m not hatin’, cause I am a Sai fan who owns Warning Shots, Moral of The Story and a lot of his other material, but his time came and went. Atlantic took a promising career and set it back a long time. With acts like TI, BG, Plies, etc on the roster….it was clear he was not a priority.
Call me a fair-weather fan if you want…..but the buzz is gone. Ive moved on from anticipating it. I don’t even care anymore whether this album see’s the light of day. As long as I keep hearing records from Immortal Technique, Nas, Wayne, The Game & others….Ill be just fine.
*Just Blaze…I was at Rock The Bells in LI and it was nice to see you made an appearance…it was a really nice show. I hope in the future, you think twice about doing any further business with Atlantic. IMO this whole debacle has tarnished you somewhat. Atlantic didnt show you proper respect, they didnt give your artist his just due….and the way everything dragged out could discourage potential artists from wanting to be a part of Fort Knocks in the future….I hope your able to eventually build it into an Aftermath or Roca-fella….best of luck with that. Down with Atlantic!!!
