Man! I forgot about Wanda Dee… Is that Harmony next to Ms. Melody? And the face looks like Michie Mee but the hair is all wrong. I’ve never seen her without blonde highlights and the MC Lyte stacks. Hard to tell at that resolution. Is that Sweet Tee over Wanda? Hair looks right but again, I can’t be sure. No clue on the lady next to Shante in the Dapper Dan jacket…

do you mean the female right above mc lyte to the right a bit wearing pink (i think it’s pink)? that’s mc peaches. she’s from jersey, too (went to school with her. that’s the ONLY way i knew who that was). it’s not michee mee, she was from canada, i believe. and that pic is ny/nj strong. the only ones i don’t know are the millie jackson lookin’ chick playing bongos with roxanne and lyte’s heads, the incredible bulk on the upper right giving me the finger (i 1st thought it was ms. melody, but i don’t remember her being so mean), and the star trek chick in grey on the top left…
oh, and the chick in yellow. i think she only got on because of her looks…

Just was crazy for this one!
The photo was shot from Janette Beckman for Paper magazine’s Rap Roundtable in May 1988. Whoever has that issue holla at me or Mr. Smith. It also ran in Janette’s book Rap with also included text from the great Bill Adler (look him up young’n).

The Goddess, WANDA DEE is not at all featured anywhere in the above listed shot… and I should know, as I am both her husband of 25 years and her manager.
Wanda is currently a headliner in Las Vegas (5 nights a week) when not traveling the world touring, and she has a new single & album coming out this year on G.E.R.L. / Universal, so stay tuned!
